Relaxed and natural newborn photography

As a mother myself I can truly say that I understand how precious those first moments are with your newborn. Overwhelmed with the deepest love for your tiny baby and a quiet sense of contentment that you have created something so beautiful, you gaze at those tiny toes with even tinier nails; small hands curled up into tight fists and soft skin abundant with creases, wrinkles and folds. They grow up so quickly and those early days are so fleeting.

My newborn photography sessions take place in your own home. This allows me to document the arrival of your precious little one naturally whilst providing a context to the photos which makes them unique to you. They are informal and relaxed so that you can feel at ease and I only work with natural light. Any blankets or props will have meaning and hold a place in your family story. Let me capture this special time with timeless photos that can be cherished forever.

How it works

There is no time pressure and on the day of your portrait session I will arrive in the morning. The photo shoot will be baby led and will allow for multiple nappy changes, feeds and naps. I also encourage older siblings to interact with their new baby brother or sister and share their favourite toys with me as well. I will also urge us all to drink lots of coffee!

When to book

It tends to be best to capture newborns within the first 2 weeks of their arrival. With this in mind, booking your photography session in advance is advisable. If anything changes, then I will do my best to be flexible. If your baby is already here then please do not hesitate to get in touch and hopefully I can accommodate you.
